Jane Catherine Helen Bowlby created a sampler in 1832 that contained 5 alphabets. I love telling Helen's life story and have made a chart of the Cross Stitch numbers and alphabet from the sampler as well as her fancy Scottish illuminated alphabet for you. It is 96 W x 70 H and each square = 2 x 2 linen threads.  The fancy alphabet fits well on my Sampler Stories Huswif class piece.
